Climate action is good for business
Wednesday, 22 January, 2025, 07:15-08:45 CET
EARTH ROOM
The science is clear, we are in the most important decade of climate action. The climate crisis and nature loss are no longer distant threats but a living reality impacting millions of people every day.
The good news? The solutions to reduce emissions are within reach. Renewable energy technologies, circular models, and sustainable practices in food, agriculture, and transport already exist. And we know that it is good business to be a good business as the cost of inaction far outweighs the investments into sustainability.
With five years to deliver to the Paris Agreement, we need to work together, across business, public sector and community to accelerate the transition to net-zero.
This session will discuss the business case for action and how science can guide investment and scaling of climate solutions that reduce emissions and costs to drive significant long-term returns.
